PROMM meets the maintenance management software (CMMS) and control system needs, for customers in a
wide range of industries with varying product lines and services. It has proven to be a practical, common sense approach. PROMM has
helped users pass JCAHO inspections, FDA audits and meet ISO certification requirements.
Some special features and customized applications:
While most use the standard version, we have modified portions of PROMM for
specific needs. Even so, modified versions use over 95% of the standard
work order, PM and inventory control program. Some examples of these features are:
Equipment with PM on a meter hour basis
Distribution centers often have material handling equipment with PM scheduled on a meter hour basis.
Some meters fail and are replaced with a new meter showing fewer hours.
The meter hour update procedure lets you install replacement meters, with lower
hours, while continuing to schedule PM on the equipment lifetime hours.
Remote work order entry
Some clients have requestors enter work orders directly into PROMM
rather than send a hard copy. We developed customized techniques to collect work order
requests, without compromising the security of PROMM data. Remote work order requestors
are given limited viewing selections to determine work order status while open and completed.
University - Standard work order generation
Twice a year, a university client is required to do major refurbishing in residence
halls and classroom areas. This takes place over the Christmas and summer breaks.
Identifying the work was one major project. Entering the work orders was another.
The university developed a standardized checklist of normal tasks. We developed
a standard work order module, to work in concert with the checklist form. Basic work
order information was entered onto templates in PROMM. Adding a few specifics, at work
order generation time, expedited the creation of thousands of work orders in just a few days.
